Our client was advised by the building contractor that the house had been built with a chimney suitable for a stove or gas fire and simply required a flue liner for it to work. Unfortunately for the new homeowner, this wasn’t the case. The new home had been built without any flue and required some creative thinking to overcome the issues safely and compliant with building regulations.
We opted to use a Stovax XQ twin wall insulated flue as the proprietary flue system for the new stove. To complete the installation safely required the use of a cherry picker to gain access to the top of the chimney stack.
The Charnwood Arc was the stove of choice for it’s efficiency, Ecodesign ready and to complement the contemporary decor. Although Ecodesign is not mandatory, a lot of our clients are approaching us to install Ecodesign ready stoves to ensure they are future proof.
Our client also asked about lighting inside the chamber. We supplied and installed a new remote control LED strip light which can change to virtually any colour!
